This is the ideal way to brew a single cup of coffee on those lazy mornings where you have time to treat yourself. The Aeropress brew will produce a clean cup with a light mouthfeel, similar to pour over or regular filter coffee.
Note:
Step 1
Place paper filter in the cap and rinse with freshly boiled water. This will eliminate any papery taste.
Step 2
Attach cap to the brew chamber and position it on your favorite mug.
Step 3
Weigh the coffee and adjust grinder to the aeropress setting (2 on the 1-5 scale).
Step 4
Use the funnel to put coffee in the brew chamber. This ensures the coffee won’t stick to the inside walls of the brewer.
Step 5
Start your timer and pour 35 grams of water into the brew chamber. Stir with the included paddle or a spoon. This ensures that the water saturates the grounds.
Step 6
After 1 minute, add 215 grams of water for a total of 250 grams. Stir for 10 seconds.
Step 7
Place plunger on top and allow the coffee to brew for another 2-4 minutes. A shorter brew time will produce a lighter cup. The longer you let it brew, the stronger it will get.
Step 8
Gently push the plunger down until it is pressed against the coffee grounds. This should take about 30 seconds.
